The pedagogical university conducts research work on the priority trends of science and engineering development. Thus, the new technologies of the purposeful control of changes of the structure of the structural material are worked out at the Chair of Physics to increase their physical-mechanical properties (the head is a Doctor of Physics and Mathematics professor Susyak P.M.).

The chair of natural sciences studies the scientific fundamentals and elaborates the process of obtaining phosphorus, phosphorous products, fertilizers and materials as a result of processing phosphorites of Volyn and Podillya fields (the head is the Doctor of Technology professor Kryklyviy D.I.). These researches are patent and are rather urgent.

A number of important results of fundamental research in mathematics were obtained under the supervision of professor Abramchuk V.S. and senior lecturer Sokhatskiy F.M.

The school of science was founded on the basis of the university. It has worked out the ways to solve problems of the new contents of education and methods of teaching and training in high educational establishments and schools together with the Academy of Pedagogics of the Ukraine (the head is a doctor of Pedagogics professor Smetanskiy M.I.). The results of the theoretical investigation, being approved at schools of some regions of Vinnytsya oblast, were estimated at their true worth by the teachers.

They have studied problems, concerning the application of up-to-date computer engineering in the teaching process for many years. Thus, the teaching staff of the pedagogical-industrial department works up theoretical-methodological and scientific-methodic grounds of conceptual framework of the state standard in the sphere of training of skilled workers at vocational technical school, applying computer engineering (The teacher is the Doctor of Pedagogics professor Gurevych R.S.). The theoretical-methodical fundamentals of working out and application of up-to-date informational technologies in the process of teaching and learning of the Ukrainian language in high educational establishments are investigated at the chair of Ukrainian Language (the teacher is the Doctor of Philology professor Ivanitskaya N.L.).

The important results have been obtained as a result of foundation of research laboratory on the problems of application of the new informational technologies in the teaching and educational process. The lab was founded by Vinnytsya state pedagogical university together with the Institute of pedagogics and psychology of the vocational education of APN of the Ukraine. The teacher is professor Gurevych R.S., scientific consultant is professor Shunda N.

Cooperating with National University of physical culture and sports and National Olympic Committee of the Ukraine the establishment began to supply Olympic national teams on the game kinds of sport (one of the leading research fellows of this project is professor Bekaniya G.S.) with medical service. The similar research is conducted on demand of the National Olympic Committee of Poland.
