The area is 26,5 thousand sq. km., or 4,5 % of the territory of the Ukraine.

The distance from Vinnitsya to Kyjiv:

-  222 km by rail;

-  260 km on highways.

 

The oblast is in the forest-steppe zone within the borders of the Podillya height. 204 rivers over 10 km each flow at the territory of our oblast. They belong to the basins of the Southern Bug river, Dnister and Dnipro.

 

Vinnitsya oblast is located between 48°04 min and 49°53 min southern latitude and 27°20 min and 30°01 min eastern longitude.

 

The climate is moderately continental with mild winters and warm wet summers. The average temperature is:

-  +18,6-20,5°C in summer;

-  -4-6°C in winter.

 

The annual amount of the precipitation is 520-590 mm. 80 % fall during the warm season of the year.

 

The state border with the Republic Moldova, that is 202 kilometers long stretches along the river Dnister on the southwest Vinnytchina. The region borders with 7 regions - Kirovograd, Zhytomir, Kyjiv, Cherkassk, Khmelnitskiy, Odessa, Chernovtsy ones.

252,3 million hryvnyas have been put into operation of the basic funds.153, 1 thousand square meters have been put into operation of housing. The quantity of the building organizations - 191.

The following scope of work (in comparable prices) has been accomplished: 145,2 thousand hryvnyas.

 

 

 

457,4 million hryvnyas of the taxes and of the other compulsory payments came in the budgets of all levels.

408,7 million hryvnyas, including 233,6 million hryvnyas of the own incomes, was mobilized in the budget of the oblast.
