At the end of the 1999 the scientists of Ukraine, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Russia,
Chekhia were discussing the methods of the Earth defence of the threat of a big
celectial objects dip at the international conference CAMMAC (comets,
asteroids, meteors, meteorites, astroblems, craters). Vinnitchina was
chosen to be the place to carry the conference out not incidentally. A number
of scientists prove Illintzy astroblem in our oblast ( being translated as the
wound of the Earth) to have a space origin. It means that this geological
formation appeared after the earth surface had been bombarded by the celectial
bodies- meteorites or average asteroids. It is well-known the large asteroids
may cause the catastrophy or even the destruction of the planet. At the
conference they proposed to use the high-power operating time of a nuclear
potential, left after the cold war to defend the Earth of the threat of a big
celectial objects dip. The candidate of the physic-mathematic sciences of Vinnitzya
state pedagogical university Volodymyr Solonenko suggests the celectial object
trajectory to be able to be changed by a targeted atomic explosion. For
example, the trajectory of X-11-R comet that will be pulled to the Earth in
2028-2030 can be changed in such a way. The other way is to equipt the asteroid
with a jet engine that will give it an impulse to move the other direction. The
participants of the conference came out with many interesting hypotheses,
informed of the relevant theoretical discoveries.
